Job summary

BKV Group seeks a Senior Project Manager with 15+ years of architecture and project management experience in Dallas, TX. The role covers all design and documentation phases, with a preference for Student Living projects.

You will lead business development collaboration, manage project scope/budgets, supervise the design team, and ensure code compliance and construction support. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the marketing effort with business development and design staff to attract new clients and maintain existing clients.
• Assist in preparation of project contracts and consult with the Managing Partner to present and administer. Determine project scope, schedule, and design team budgets with guidance from the Managing Partner.
• Oversee project documents for issuance to meet client’s development program and budget; implement design and production processes.
• Lead the design team in preparing the project including functional and spatial requirements and information on design, specifications, materials, color and equipment.
• Coordinate integration of a holistic multi-disciplinary approach for client review and approval.
• Work with code specialists to document review requirements and obtain approval for code compliance.
• Support construction services and ensure design intent during construction.
• Direct and coordinate team members preparing drawings and specification documents.
• Act as Client Leader for service and document production with multiple disciplines.
• Facilitate technical quality reviews and internal QA of projects.
• Coordinate office standards and procedures during project delivery (fees, budgets, schedules, reports).
• Complete weekly staffing to uphold budgets and schedules; review timesheets.

Job description

BKV Group seeks a talented Senior Project Manager with 15+ years related architecture and project management experience. We are looking for someone with well-rounded architectural project management experience in all phases of design and documentation, ideally with Student Living project expertise. Project related responsibilities include the following:

• Lead the marketing effort with the business development and design staff to attract new clients and maintain existing clients.
• Assist in preparation of project contracts and consult with the Managing Partner to present and administer. Responsible for determining project scope, schedule, and design team budgets with guidance from the Managing Partner. Maintain identified schedules and budgets on assigned projects.
• Oversee project documents for issuance to meet client’s development program and budget. Implement design and production processes and policies in accordance with the project service fee budget.
• Lead the design team in preparing the project including determination of functional and spatial requirements and prepare information regarding design, specifications, materials, color and equipment.
• Coordinate the integration of our “holistic multi-disciplinary approach” in a complete and coordinated design for client review and approval.
• Work with BKV Code Specialist to document code review requirements and meet with the respective authority having jurisdiction to obtain review and approval of the plans for code compliance.
• Work with BKV Construction Administrator to support construction services and ensure design intent during construction.
• Direct and coordinate team members engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents.
• Perform as Client Leader for the service and document production with Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering Staff and independent consultants.
• Facilitate technical quality reviews as part of production process. Provide internal quality reviews of projects.
• Implement and coordinate office standards and procedures during the project delivery process including but not limited to: fee scenarios, project management plans, budget reports, project schedules, contract deliverables list, phase completion memo, quality assurance reviews, clash detection, kickoff meetings, team coordination meetings, page flip meetings, additional services, and invoice reviews.
• Complete weekly staffing to uphold project budgets and schedules. Review and approve employee timesheets as an assigned supervisor.
• Conduct annual and 90-day employee reviews as assigned by Human Resources and the VP of Professional Services.

Compensation range: $145,000 – $170,000 annually, or commensurate with experience.
