Job description

BKV Group seeks a Senior Project Architect with 10+ years’ related experience to join us remotely based in Orlando, FL. This role offers a unique opportunity within BKV to work closely with the local Project Manager to establish the Orlando, FL practice site, while supporting existing clients and projects and collaborating with all disciplines as part of the greater Washington, DC team. Ideally, we are looking for a well-rounded, licensed architect who has experience in all aspects of the design and documentation for a variety of Multi-family Housing projects (Market-Rate, Affordable, Student Housing and/or Senior Living). Project related responsibilities include the following:

• Work closely with the DC Development Managing Partner and Orlando Project Manager to lead the design and technical documentation for projects.
• Implement code review requirements and respective documents to obtain review and approval of the plans for code compliance.
• Plan the layout of projects and coordinate and integrate engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval.
• Prepare scale drawings and contract documents utilizing Revit for deliverable packages to Contractors, Clients and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
• Prepare project production design and drawings.
• Construction document detailing and coordination of technical systems/envelope assemblies.
• Implement technical reviews as part of production process.
• Coordinate design and production drawings and specification documents.

Qualifications

• Must have four years’ college or university degree. Masters degree preferred.
• Professional license required.
• 10+ years’ related experience as a licensed professional required.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public.
• Proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation range: $110,000 – $125,000 annually, or commensurate with experience.
