Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Project Manager III to lead the delivery of complex capital projects with emphasis on Storm Protection Plan initiatives. This senior role provides strategic direction, guides project teams, and reports on scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and stakeholder satisfaction.

The role requires 5–8 years of PM experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related discipline is required.
• Experience leading projects valued in excess of $10M.
• 5-8 years of project management experience.
• PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex capital projects.
• Portfolio management experience and strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex capital projects with specific experience in Storm Protection Plan projects.
• Establish project execution strategies and delivery plans, manage budgets, schedules, forecasts, and resources.
• Lead risk assessments and mitigation planning; direct change management and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders; oversee contractor and consultant performance.
• Facilitate executive-level reviews and governance meetings; ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Mentor junior project managers and coordinators; support portfolio planning and project prioritization.
