Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Senior Project Manager for its San Diego-based Special Projects Group. The role focuses on fast-paced Tenant Improvement and renovation projects, typically $10M and under, with projects around 16 weeks and diverse industries.

You will lead preconstruction through closeout, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate with superintendents, owners, architects, and subcontractors, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience with significant Project Management responsibility.
• Strong experience with commercial Tenant Improvement, renovation, or Special Projects.
• Experience managing projects generally $10M or less.
• Proven ability to manage fast-paced projects with aggressive schedules.
• Strong understanding of project financials, budgeting, forecasting, buyout, and change management.
• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial Tenant Improvement and Special Projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and financial controls.
• Lead subcontractor procurement, buyout, contract negotiations, and performance.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Partner closely with Superintendents to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
