Job summary

DBI Consultants in Houston is seeking an experienced Project Manager II to ensure timely and cost-conscious completion of building consulting projects. You will evaluate damaged structures and compile a scope of repair with cost projections while leading a small team.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field, 5–7 years in construction or property insurance, and be able to travel up to 25% of the workweek.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience within construction, restoration, and/or property insurance related fields
• Ability to travel and build comradery with a response team. Willingness to travel +/- 25% of the workweek
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, in-person environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed budgets, estimates, and proposals across lump sum, unit rate, and cost-plus formats
• Manage project timelines, schedules, and resource allocation to meet delivery commitments
• Demonstrate ability to lead and manage a small team on low to medium complex projects
• Organize project teams and maintain effective relationships with staff, consultants, and clients
• Identify risk exposures and resolve complex technical issues as they arise
• Enforce department standards for deliverables, budget tracking, and project documentation
• Ensure the flow of project information is maintained and documented
• Perform all other duties as assigned
