Job summary

Finzly is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead large-scale professional services engagements for top banking and payments customers. You will own the project lifecycle, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure delivery on time and within scope.

You bring 10+ years of PM experience, strong client leadership, and expertise in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery. This role offers a fast-paced fintech environment, collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, and Product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 10+ years PM experience in Professional Services or enterprise implementations.
• Experience with enterprise systems integration and SaaS projects.
• PM methodologies: Waterfall, Agile, hybrid.
• Strong client-facing communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with PS tools: Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira.
• Executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary client contact through project lifecycle.
• Build relationships with executive sponsors and technical leads.
• Facilitate status meetings, executive briefings, and steering committee discussions.
• Manage scope, schedule, deliverables, and change requests.
• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, complex Professional Services engagements.
• Develop project plans, delivery frameworks, budgets, and resourcing strategies.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources (consulting, engineering, product, support, partners).
• Ensure delivery quality, adherence to methodology, documentation standards, and compliance requirements.
• Identify and manage scope creep; drive formal change orders when required.
• Partner with sales and account teams to support expansion opportunities.
• Establish and manage the project governance model, including risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
• Implement mitigation strategies and escalation frameworks.
• Conduct project health checks and maintain accurate reporting across internal systems.
• Lead distributed or matrixed delivery teams, including consultants, analysts, technical architects, and partner resources.
• Cultivate a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Support, and Product teams to ensure a smooth transition post‑implementation.
• Drive post-project retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Professional Services delivery models (fixed fee, T&M, milestone-based, retainer).
• Experience with enterprise-level systems integration, SaaS implementations, or digital transformation projects.
• Expertise with PM methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid models).
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client-facing leadership skills.
• Proficiency with PS tools (e.g Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira).
