Job summary

Scott Safety’s Monroe, NC facility is seeking a Project Manager, Product Engineering to lead cross-functional programs and guide engineering initiatives from concept to delivery.

The role emphasizes coordinating schedules, resources, and governance across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure on-time execution and business impact. On-site work is required in Monroe, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of project management experience leading technical, engineering, manufacturing, or product-focused initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional projects from planning through implementation, balancing competing priorities, stakeholders, and business objectives.
• Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and drive alignment across diverse teams.
• Experience with supplier transitions, component obsolescence, product validation, process improvements, or corrective actions.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management training.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional engineering programs from concept through implementation, delivering business outcomes and customer value.
• Manage a portfolio of product sustainment and engineering change projects, including supplier transitions and cost optimization.
• Own project planning and execution, developing schedules, budgets, resource plans, governance processes, and implementation strategies.
• Drive alignment and accountability across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, regulatory, and other teams.
• Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery.
• Support product portfolio planning and continuous improvement with estimates, insights, and executive reporting.
