Job summary

Core & Main is seeking a Senior Project Manager to coordinate a project team from inception through completion and drive Corporate Planning and project management efforts. The role involves acting as a senior representative for the Project Management Center of Excellence, developing automated planning systems, and presenting status to stakeholders.

The candidate will review plans, manage budgets and inter-functional schedules, mentor staff, and ensure alignment with the master schedule.

Qualifications

• Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline.
• Generally 5–8 years of experience in related field; certification is required in some areas, or MS/MA with 3–5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior representative for Project Management Center of Excellence.
• Develop new systems for automated planning, reporting, issue resolution, risk management and budget tracking.
• Provide regular status information to all project stakeholders.
• Interface with Upper Management.
• Review plans and schedules for compliance with the master schedule; resolve scheduling and inter-functional conflicts.
• Lead or participate in daily, weekly or monthly meetings.
• Review and report project status; identify deviations or adverse trends.
• Ensure approval of business case and present to governing body.
• Support internal department training and development within the PMO.
