Senior Project Manager (On-site) - Conesville, Ohio

We seek a Senior Project Manager with construction industry experience to oversee multiple data center projects for a major technology client. This client-facing role demands excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, self-direction, and strong project management fundamentals. Experience in data center development, design, engineering, controls, and operations is highly advantageous.

The role involves mentoring staff, building client relationships, and pursuing new business opportunities through strategy, proposals, and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Apply modern project management techniques within complex organizations; understand engineering, design, procurement, safety, construction, and commissioning processes.
• Develop strong client relationships and communicate effectively with technical and management personnel.
• Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
• Create and deliver presentations on project progress, findings, and recommendations.
• Review project plans, requirements, and specifications.
• Prepare RFPs, support contractor selection, and manage contracts.
• Establish CPM schedules with contractors.
• Perform resource analyses to identify bottlenecks.
• Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities, providing mitigation strategies.
• Lead project meetings, document minutes, and track action items.
• Validate project progress, pay applications, and invoices.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site surveys, and liaise with project stakeholders.
• Contribute to business development efforts, including strategy and contract negotiations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• 20+ years of construction project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in construction, mechanical or electrical engineering, or related field.
• Deep understanding of construction, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of pre-design, pre-construction, contract management, and building systems.
• Experience creating reports for diverse audiences.
• Client-facing experience.
• Ability to communicate technical progress clearly to varied audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

• Master's in construction management or related field.
• Experience with Earned Value Management.
• Membership in PMI, CCMA, or similar.
• PMP or CCM certifications.
• Strong background in data center development and construction.
