Job Overview

We are seeking a driven and capable Electrical Construction Manager to support the development of multiple data center projects for a top technology client. This client-facing role requires strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to self-direct, manage multiple projects concurrently across regions, and possess a strong background in data center development, design, engineering, controls, and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Apply modern project management techniques within complex, multi-functional organizations, understanding engineering, design, procurement, contracting, safety, construction, and commissioning.
• Establish strong relationships with clients and communicate effectively with technical and management personnel.
• Create and maintain best practices for cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget development and reporting.
• Oversee project work from initiation to close-out, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
• Prepare and present progress reports, findings, and recommendations using PowerPoint.
• Conduct forensic analysis of existing building systems to enhance performance.
• Research new technologies and assess their integration into building systems.
• Serve as the single point of contact for project development and delivery.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure contract compliance, including oversight, scope review, and performance management.
• Review project plans, requirements, and specifications.
• Prepare RFPs and project approval documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors to develop CPM schedules.
• Lead project meetings, document minutes, and track action items.
• Validate project progress, contractor payments, and invoices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• 15+ years of construction management experience across various facility types.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, project management, or related field.
• Strong understanding of construction and building systems.
• Knowledge of pre-design, pre-construction, contract management, and project delivery methods.
• Experience in report development for diverse audiences.
• Proven client-facing experience.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and management audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred

• Master’s Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with Earned Value Management.
• Active memberships in PMI, CCMA, or similar organizations.
• PMP or CCM certifications.
• Extensive background in data center construction and development.
• Design, testing, and commissioning experience.
