Job summary

Solenis LLC in the United States seeks a seasoned Capital Projects Leader to guide multi-site capital programs across the North American plant network. You will lead from planning through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget alignment while mentoring project teams and coordinating across Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Procurement.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a related degree, travel up to 80%, and proficiency with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Extensive budgeting, forecasting, project accounting and general accounting knowledge.
  • Travel up to 80% as required to support multi-site capital programs.
  • Proficient with SAP and MS Office; able to coordinate across functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead medium to large capital projects from concept to closeout.
  • Develop and maintain scope, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, EHS, Finance, Procurement, and R&D.
  • Monitor performance, address risks, delays, and cost variances.

Position Summary

You are responsible for leading and supporting capital projects across the North American plant network. You will provide project leadership from initial planning and budgeting through execution, commissioning, and closeout, while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives. You will provide leadership and guidance to Project Managers and Engineers, support the planning, tracking, forecasting, and budgeting of Capital Expenditures (CapEx), and ensure projects progress effectively through the established Stage Gate process in the multi-million-dollar range.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead medium to large-scale capital projects from concept and feasibility through design, construction, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including Engineering, Operations, EHS, Finance, Procurement, R&D, and other functional stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively identify and address risks, issues, schedule delays, and cost variances.
  • Champion project teams through the company's Stage Gate process.
  • Review project business cases, scopes, cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, and supporting documentation at key project milestones.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to Project Managers, Engineers, and other project team members.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to capital planning, project execution, cost management, and reporting.
  • Facilitate effective communication between plant leadership, project teams, Finance, Engineering, and senior management.
  • Prepare and present project updates and portfolio-level information to leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Finance, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.
  • Extensive working knowledge of capital project processes, including budgeting, forecasting, project accounting, and general accounting policies and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of project cost management, forecasting, scheduling, and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of construction and engineering principles.
  • Ownership of Safe work environment for projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and managing projects across multiple sites.
  • Ability to travel 50-80%

The expected compensation range for this position is between $107,500.00 and $157,663.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
