Job summary

Solenis is seeking a seasoned capital projects leader to drive multi-million dollar programs across the North American plant network. • Extensive knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, project accounting, and general accounting policies.
• Strong understanding of project cost management, forecasting, scheduling, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of construction and engineering principles.
• Ownership of Safe work environment for projects.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Experience with multidisciplinary teams and multi-site projects.
• Ability to travel 50-80%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across Engineering, Operations, EHS, Finance, Procurement, R&D, etc.
• Monitor project performance and address risks, delays, and cost variances.
• Champion the Stage Gate process across projects.
• Review business cases, scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments at milestones.
• Mentor Project Managers, Engineers, and team members.
• Support continuous improvement in capital planning and cost management.
• Facilitate communication between plant leadership, project teams, Finance, Engineering, and management.
• Prepare and present project updates and portfolio information.

Position Summary

You are responsible for leading and supporting capital projects across the North American plant network. You will provide project leadership from initial planning and budgeting through execution, commissioning, and closeout, while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives. You will provide leadership and guidance to Project Managers and Engineers, support the planning, tracking, forecasting, and budgeting of Capital Expenditures (CapEx), and ensure projects progress effectively through the established Stage Gate process in the multi-million-dollar range.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead medium to large-scale capital projects from concept and feasibility through design, construction, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Develop and maintain project scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including Engineering, Operations, EHS, Finance, Procurement, R&D, and other functional stakeholders.
• Monitor project performance and proactively identify and address risks, issues, schedule delays, and cost variances.
• Champion project teams through the company's Stage Gate process.
• Review project business cases, scopes, cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, and supporting documentation at key project milestones.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to Project Managers, Engineers, and other project team members.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to capital planning, project execution, cost management, and reporting.
• Facilitate effective communication between plant leadership, project teams, Finance, Engineering, and senior management.
• Prepare and present project updates and portfolio-level information to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Finance, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• 10+ years of experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.
• Extensive working knowledge of capital project processes, including budgeting, forecasting, project accounting, and general accounting policies and procedures.
• Strong understanding of project cost management, forecasting, scheduling, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of construction and engineering principles.
• Ownership of Safe work environment for projects.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and managing projects across multiple sites.
• Ability to travel 50-80%

The expected compensation range for this position is between $107,500.00 and $157,663.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
