Job summary

Connexion Systems & Engineering is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex cross-functional programs focused on Mechanical design and New Product Introduction (NPI). You will manage projects from concept through launch, partnering with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Sales, Service, and Supply Chain to bring new products to market.

This onsite role in Marlborough, MA requires 10–20% travel, a Monday–Friday schedule, and a proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field.
• 10+ years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• PMP certification preferred; experience with large budgets and NPI programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead full project lifecycle from initiation through completion, managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and deliverables.
• Lead end-to-end NPI process for machines, automation, accessories, and product options.
• Partner with Engineering and cross-functional teams through design reviews, prototype builds, pilot installations, launch readiness, documentation, training, pricing, and service preparation.
• Develop project charters, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and status reports.
• Lead cross-functional teams, drive accountability, resolve issues, and elevate risks as needed.
• Facilitate project meetings, executive reviews, and key decision-making sessions.
• Maintain standardized NPI processes, stage gates, and project documentation.
• Track project performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Promote PMO standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Support portfolio reviews, project audits, lessons learned, and mentoring of other project managers.

Description

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional projects with a strong focus on Mechanical/Machine Design and New Product Introduction (NPI). This role will manage projects from concept through launch, partnering with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Sales, Service, Supply Chain, and other teams to deliver successful new products.

Key Responsibilities

• 10+ years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.


• Proven experience leading mechanical/machine design projects, NPI programs, or similar product development initiatives.


• Experience managing enterprise-level projects with significant budgets.


• Manufacturing, industrial automation, CNC machine tools, or related industry experience strongly preferred.


• Strong understanding of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management methodologies.


• PMP certification preferred.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Teams, SharePoint, and related project management tools.


• Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to influence and lead teams without direct authority.
