BWX Technologies, Inc. in Idaho Falls seeks a Project Manager in the Technical Services Group to lead complex, multi-year projects, manage scope, schedule, cost, and performance using earned value management, and coordinate with operations and engineering.

The role requires a BS degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, 10+ years of experience (14+ for non-technical), PMP preferred, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a DOE security clearance for work in naval nuclear and

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Science, Business, Construction Management, or Project Management.
Typically requires 10+ years of experience with a technical degree and 14+ years with a non-technical degree.
Experience in at least two of: Engineering, Finance & Accounting, Project Controls, Legal, Procurement.
PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Implementation of Earned Value Management System and risk management.
Development of corrective action plans for troubled projects.
Coordinate initial work planning and scoping with operations and engineering to create a resource-loaded schedule and cost estimate.
Primary interface with operations and project planners/schedulers.
Assist in planning and resolving interface issues with the customer and production groups.
Interface with customer technical representatives for Monthly Financial reports.
Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
