Job summary

Capital One’s Model Risk Office (MRO) seeks a Sr. Project Manager to partner with stakeholders, drive governance and deliver cross-functional initiatives.

You will manage multiple projects in a dynamic financial environment, using Jira, Tableau, Excel, and Google Sheets to keep programs on track and aligned with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of PM experience, strong analytical skills, and proven ability to influence at all levels while coaching delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 3 years of Project Management experience.
• At least 2 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients.
• At least 3 years of experience using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, with a proficiency in joining disparate data sets to analyze and solve challenges.

Responsibilities

• Meeting on a regular basis with stakeholders to ensure that they are well-managed and have line of sight into their operations, project plans, and horizontal requests.
• Utilizing a variety of business intelligence (Quicksite, Tableau), project management (JIRA), and analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets) to support their stakeholders.
• Solving problems analytically - understanding how to join disparate data sets in an Excel or Google Sheets format to solve problems and convey a solution.
• Exhibiting a demonstrated track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage tasks and related expectations.
• Exhibiting outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts - Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
• Displaying a passion for coaching and developing delivery teams through leadership.
• Having excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes.
• Having demonstrated experience in various project management / problem solving methodologies (waterfall, agile, design thinking, etc.)
• Demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Identifying continuous improvement opportunities using multiple data-driven approaches
