Job summary

ThermalWorks is seeking a Project Manager in Austin, TX to lead the full lifecycle delivery of mission-critical infrastructure projects, coordinating with engineering, commissioning, service, and manufacturing teams. The role requires 10+ years of project leadership, solid knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, and controls integration, and willingness to travel to support regional deployment.

This position is remote with on-site work in Austin.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
10+ years of project leadership in mission-critical infrastructure or data center delivery.
Experience with commissioning oversight and Level 3–5 testing.
Strong communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee the full lifecycle of project delivery from pre-construction planning to turnover, with focus on schedule, budget, safety and quality.
Collaborate with engineering, commissioning, service and manufacturing teams for cross-functional alignment.
Communicate with senior management, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Enforce adherence to company processes, startup requirements, and commissioning readiness.
Conduct inspections and audits to ensure safety and quality, compliant with codes and regulations.
Prepare and submit project plans and budgets; maintain cost control and financial performance.
Ensure alignment between field conditions and design intent across mechanical, electrical, and controls.
