Responsibilities

• Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements, including EDW, data aggregation, analytics, and reporting.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources through planning, implementation, go-live, and system certification.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines.
• Gather requirements, prioritize deliverables, and manage dependencies along the critical path.
• Lead change management, training, and stakeholder communication to support rollout.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, project partners, vendors, and state agency teams.
• Prepare and present project updates, risks, milestones, and outcomes to senior executives and legislative stakeholders.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of new Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) modules and components. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing technology projects within healthcare or state government environments, coordinating multiple vendors, overseeing system and data conversions, and ensuring successful implementation and go-live.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation of Medicaid system modules, including project planning, scope, schedules, budgets, implementation strategies, and risk mitigation.
• Develop and maintain master project schedules, governance frameworks, milestones, and deliverables across multiple vendors and state teams.
• Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements, including those related to Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), data aggregation, analytics, and reporting.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources throughout planning, implementation, go-live, and system certification.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues proactively, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
• Gather requirements, prioritize deliverables, and manage dependencies along the critical path.
• Lead change management, training, and stakeholder communication to support the successful rollout of new systems and processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, project partners, vendors, and state agency teams.
• Prepare and present project updates, risks, milestones, and outcomes to senior executives and legislative stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in technology projects within healthcare or state government.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with system and data conversion from legacy systems to new systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in change management, training coordination, and communication to support new system implementations.
• Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage deadlines, project dependencies, budgets, risks, and critical-path activities.
• Experience gathering requirements and prioritizing data aggregation, analytics, and reporting deliverables.
• Ability to identify issues early, facilitate decision-making, and coordinate resolutions with management and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Idaho state agencies.
• Experience working with state Medicaid agencies.
• Experience implementing Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS).
