Job summary

WuXi Chemistry is seeking a Senior Project Manager (or Associate Director) to lead projects within STA, API, and Drug Product development and manufacturing. This remote US-based role requires English and Mandarin proficiency and involves interaction with clients and internal teams to drive proposals and timelines.

Responsibilities include initiating and planning projects, defining objectives, monitoring progress, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical or CRO/CMO industry experience, preferably in API process R&D and/or Drug Product R&D and manufacturing.
• Experience managing external research collaborations; PMP certification is a plus.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; cross-functional collaboration.
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and small molecule drug development.

Responsibilities

• Lead all project initiation and planning efforts; participate in implementation and execution.
• Establish project objectives, timelines, and deliverables; define tasks and resource needs.
• Closely monitor progression to ensure on-schedule and within-budget delivery; report progress to stakeholders.
• Support the technical team to address challenges using risk assessment tools and corrective actions.
• Serve as liaison with client contacts; manage day-to-day communications and meetings.
• Represent the company in project meetings; prepare agendas and follow up on items.
• Evaluate results and provide recommendations for future improvements.
• Support business development by joining customer visits, conferences, or trade shows.
• Contribute to proposals and timelines with inputs from stakeholders for new relationships and change orders.
