Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager I to provide leadership to one large project or multiple projects, ensuring quality, schedule, safety, and mentoring the project team. You will develop client relationships, communicate with staff at all levels, and maintain project integrity.

You will manage budgets, subcontracts, and on-site coordination, with travel up to 100% as required. This role emphasizes integrity, confidentiality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum eight years of construction management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple large complex projects.
• Strong communication skills and openness to feedback.
• Knowledge of construction law and business practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project, and web apps at an intermediate level.
• Professional attitude with strong customer service.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Supervise overall financial health of projects.
• Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections.
• Allocate estimates into the financial system, set cost codes, approve invoices.
• Provide financials and billings to Accounting and create monthly owner billings.
• Handle subcontracts and suppliers, manage budget and selections.
• Lead Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, provide training.
• Function as main contact with owner and on-site rep.
• Resolve site concerns, manage change orders and approvals.
• Maintain schedule and budget, manage quality, risk, safety, and compliance.
