Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end, large-scale initiatives across the enterprise. You will drive project initiation, scope, schedule, cost and risk management while aligning financial and operational goals with corporate strategy.

You will coordinate with diverse stakeholders, manage resources and suppliers, and report progress to senior leaders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years work experience in operations, technology, finance, or a comparable function.
• 10 years' experience in project management and process improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, business, information technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to facilitate, train, lead and influence others and adapt to change quickly.
• Experience directing diverse/distributed work teams and stakeholders.
• Understanding of core business processes and project planning methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end project management, leadership and coordination for large complex projects or transformational work streams.
• Lead project initiation, approval, scope, schedule, cost, resource planning, and risk management.
• Align financial, compliance, safety, customer and operational goals across projects.
• Manage sourcing and engagement of resources; communicate status to senior leaders.
