Job summary

NV5 is seeking an experienced civil engineer to help grow our land development engineering practice in Fort Myers, Florida. The Senior Project Manager will lead project design, permitting, and coordination with clients and agencies to deliver complex land development projects.

The ideal candidate has at least 8 years in land development engineering, 3 years of project management, a Bachelor's in civil or agricultural engineering, and a Florida PE license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of land development engineering experience.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in civil or agricultural engineering; Florida PE license; AutoCAD and Civil3D experience; stormwater and utility experience; DMV check.

Responsibilities

• Project design and permitting, calculations; familiarity with FDEP, WMD, local codes and requirements; ensure compliance.
• Managing and communicating with project teams, clients, and agencies.
• Perform site visits and attend external meetings.
• Projects include commercial, residential, municipalities, schools, parks and recreation, subdivisions and utility work.

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced civil engineer to assist in the growth and expansion of our land development engineering department.

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for the Senior Project Manager include but are not limited to project design and permitting, calculations; familiarity with applicable FDEP, WMD, local, etc. codes and requirements and ensuring compliance; managing and communicating with project team(s), clients, and agencies; perform site visits as needed; and attend external meetings. Our land development projects include commercial, residential, municipalities, schools, parks and recreation, subdivisions and utility work.

• Minimum of 8 years land development engineering experience
• Minimum of 3 years project management experience

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil or agricultural engineering
• Florida PE License
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D
• Stormwater and utility experience
• Must pass mandatory DMV check

• This position will be subject to indoor and outside environmental conditions, including weather conditions such as wet and /or humid environments, extreme cold and/or heat, dusty and noisy work environments.
• Work will primarily be in the field involving long term standing and frequent walking as well as include common hazards at construction and project sites.
• Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to walk over rough and uneven terrain and be able to stand up to 10-12 hours a day on occasion.
• Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk.
• Weekend and overtime work and/or overnight work and travel may be required.
