Job summary

NV5 seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to join its land development engineering group in Florida. The Senior Project Manager will lead project design, permitting, and calculations, ensuring compliance with FDEP, WMD, and local codes, while coordinating with clients, agencies, and project teams.

Candidates should have 8+ years in land development, 3+ years in PM, a Florida PE, a BS in civil or agricultural engineering, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil3D; willingness to travel and pass DMV

Position Summary

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for the Senior Project Manager include but is not limited to project design and permitting, calculations; familiarity with applicable FDEP, WMD, local, etc. codes and requirements and ensuring compliance; managing and communicating with project team(s), clients, and agencies; perform site visits as needed; and attend external meetings. Our land development projects include commercial, residential, municipalities, subdivisions, schools and more.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years land development engineering experience
• Minimum of 3 years project management experience
• Bachelor's degree in civil or agricultural engineering
• Florida PE License
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D
• Stormwater and utility experience
• Must pass mandatory DMV check

• Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to walk over rough and uneven terrain and be able to stand up to 10-12 hours a day on occasion.
• Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk.
• Weekend and overtime work and/or overnight work and travel may be required.
• Additional physical duties may be required as necessary.
