Placements24 is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end implementation of critical IT and business systems. The role requires strong technical background and exceptional project management skills, working with IT teams, business units, and external vendors to ensure successful adoption of new systems.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and timelines, and drive value through efficient system integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/BIS or related field.
• 8+ years IT project management experience, 5+ years in complex system implementations.
• Experience in Gauteng region or similar corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, IT infrastructure, and business applications.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification required.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, Asana; familiarity with Agile and Waterfall.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
• Experience with change management and user training.

• Proven experience managing projects within the Gauteng region or a similar corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), IT infrastructure, and various business applications.
• Professional Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is required.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana) and familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and complex IT contracts.
• Experience with change management and user training for new systems.
