Senior Project Manager — Interior Construction Leader

Job summary

JRM Construction is seeking a Project Manager in California to lead project teams and drive successful, on-site execution. You will set priorities, monitor progress, and coordinate with estimating and client teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

We value leadership, collaboration, and a track record of managing complex interior, high-end construction in occupied spaces. OSHA 10 and Scaffold certifications are a plus; proficiency in Procore and Timberline is desirable.

Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant experience as a Project Manager, preferably in interior, high-end commercial general contracting.
• Proven record of managing complex projects in occupied spaces.
• Strong client relations skills and a collaborative disposition.
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications.
• 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certification is a plus but not required
• 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Certification is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Oversee the efforts of all project activities and personnel.
• Coordinate with the Estimating Department to formulate award schedules for trades during pre-construction.
• Review project requirements and documents including drawings, specifications, contracts, scope of work, and construction schedule.
• Coordinate and facilitate internal and client meetings to ensure coordination between disciplines.
• Prepare and issue project documents including progress reports, schedules, and budget updates.
• Forecast and track labor, management, and material costs.
• Monitor project schedule and changes affecting budget or timeline; advise client and negotiate changes in fee.
• Manage project budget and expenses; provide finance reporting as needed.
• Ensure timely invoicing and monitor receivables for the project and subcontractors.
• Ensure subcontractors provide insurance certificates meeting contractual requirements before mobilization.
• Ensure punch list completion and Department of Buildings sign-off.
• Organize and deliver project close-out/As-Built documents.
