Job summary

Santa Fe County is seeking a Project Manager to oversee project management staff, engineering support, and analytical expertise for county infrastructure and capital assets. You will ensure projects meet goals, budgets, timelines, and regulatory requirements.

You will coordinate with staff, contractors, and external partners on RFPs, funding, permits, and reporting, delivering detailed progress reports to the Board of County Commissioners and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Planning, Facility Development, Facility Operations, Facility Management, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Seven (7) years of experience relevant to the essential job functions.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, budgets, schedules, forecasts and reports on all projects from concept to completion.
• Develops objectives, scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for RFPs; creates RFPs and invitation for bid; evaluates proposals.
• Coordinates funding from grants, bonds, legislative appropriations, or allocations; tracks expenditures and reviews contractor submittals.
• Schedules and facilitates project meetings; monitors progress and ensures timely completion; reviews submittals for conformance.
• Oversees external consultants and contractors; reviews deliverables and change orders to ensure project performance.
• Prepares detailed project progress reports and presents updates to County staff, the Board, and the public.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and maintains permits and submittals.
