Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Chicago seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale industrial construction programs. You will coordinate stakeholders including architects, engineers, and suppliers, ensuring compliant delivery and robust governance.

Responsibilities include tracking milestones, monitoring budgets, generating status reports, and applying project controls and best practices. You will support owners and regional stakeholders, respond to RFIs, and drive value engineering where

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
• Strong organizational and management skills with the ability to work collaboratively.

• Monitor multiple construction projects to ensure design standards are applied correctly.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Managestakeholdersincluding architects,engineers,and supplychainsto deliver compliantprojects.
• Cananalyze,track,and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid scheduleslips.
• Verify that effective project governance,processes,and systems areutilized.
• Ensure application of best practice on all projects.
• Production of formal project status reports and other reports asrequired
• Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards areappliedcorrectly.
• Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews
• Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications.
• Forecast and update key project milestonesand budget.
• Manage andmonitorlocal design teamsin accordance withcommission criteria
• Provide technical support to owners, architects, generalcontractorsand regional stakeholders
• Rapid response to RFIs from the field
• Provideexpertisefor cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance whererequired
• Independent review of status reports, drawing submittals,timelines,and costs from architects,contractorsand suppliers.
• Client management –assistin developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities.
• Strategic Thinking -providesadvice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients’objectivesand businessobjectives.
• Knowledge management – ensure that key information and learnings generated from each projectarecaptured.
• Process improvement – Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management,architecture,engineeringor field related to construction.
• Strong organizational and management skills – ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the broader team
• Effective presentation skills
• Proficiencyin Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction project management tools
• Strong communicationskills.

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is$140K-$170Kper year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
