Job summary

Kimmel & Associates, Inc. in Baltimore seeks a Senior Project Manager for a traveling assignment on a large-scale industrial campus in southern Virginia. You will lead the project management team, oversee safety, budget, schedule, and quality, and serve as the main client contact.

The role involves mobilization now, per diem, and opportunities for growth within the industrial group that covers manufacturing and heavy civil work across markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall project delivery, including safety, budget, schedule, and quality, on a large, complex industrial project.
• Create and manage the project budget, and own financial performance and forecasting.
• Develop and collaborate on preconstruction and RFP packages.
• Lead owner and project meetings, set milestones, and deliver monthly owner reports.
• Set up RFIs, submittals, and pay applications, including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change orders.
• Oversee project scheduling, quality control, and overall project logistics.

Its Industrial group builds new facilities, renovations, expansions, and fit-outs for distribution centers, warehouses, manufacturing, aviation, automotive, mission critical, advanced manufacturing, central utility plants, and other complex industrial facilities nationwide.

About the Position

Our client is seeking a Baltimore-area Senior Project Manager for a traveling assignment leading delivery of a newly awarded, large-scale industrial campus in southern Virginia. The Senior Project Manager develops, coordinates, and manages every part of the project needed to deliver it on time, within budget, and to the specified quality. This person is the primary leader for the project, leads the project management team, and serves as the main point of contact for the client.

Project Overview:

• Newly awarded project supporting a growing industrial market in southern Virginia
• Large-scale, multi-year build with an established team of project managers, APMs, superintendents, and assistant superintendents
• Mobilization underway now, with groundbreaking imminent
• Out-of-town assignment with per diem for the duration of the project
• Room to grow within an industrial group that also covers advanced manufacturing, mission critical, energy, power generation, and heavy civil work
