Descripción del empleo

Industrial plants do not wait on paperwork. You will own heavy industrial, manufacturing, and food and beverage work across the St. Louis region and the Midwest-from first client conversation through a safe, on-budget closeout. This seat exists so owners get a single leader who can price the work, run the job, and protect the relationship when the schedule tightens.

Performance Objectives
  • Deliver assigned industrial projects-typically $5-30 million-on the agreed schedule, cost, quality, and safety plan, with variances explained before they become claims.
  • Lead weekly progress meetings that close safety, schedule, material, submittal, change, and risk items, and leave every party with a dated action.
  • Hold labor, material, and subcontract costs to the estimate by approving invoices and timesheets and issuing monthly cost reports the leadership team can trust.
  • Direct self-perform crews and trade partners on structural steel, concrete, conveyors, and specialty equipment so field conditions, sequencing, and staffing match the plan.
  • Convert client issues into documented solutions that keep the job moving and earn the next invitation to bid.
  • Build a visible regional reputation that produces repeat work and qualified referrals without compromising safety or ethics.
  • Coach project engineers and field leaders so decisions on scope, staffing, and change stay consistent from office to jobsite.

You report to the Project Director and work with superintendents, estimators, and a skilled union craft force. Projects run from the St. Louis base and active sites across the Midwest, with travel as the work requires. You will use Procore, scheduling tools, and the company ERP, with authority to staff the job, manage changes, and call on safety and preconstruction support. Project size and mix are set with leadership; you are expected to run the work, not wait for permission on routine calls.

Essential Qualifications
  • 5-10+ years of progressive project management on self-perform industrial construction, including full responsibility for jobs in the $5-10 million range or larger.
  • Proven control of estimate, schedule, buyout, change orders, and closeout on structural steel, concrete, equipment, or conveyor work.
  • A record of leading client meetings and resolving disputes without losing the relationship or the margin.
  • Working command of Procore or a comparable project platform, plus an ERP used for labor and cost control.
  • A four-year degree in construction, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industrial project leadership.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to be on jobsites; OSHA construction safety knowledge expected.
Role Selling Points
  • Employee ownership: an ESOP stake in results you help create, plus a 401(k) with company match.
  • Real self-perform work with union craft-not a paperwork-only GC seat.
  • Competitive salary, annual bonus tied to personal and company results, vehicle and cell allowances, and employer-paid medical, dental, and vision for employees.
  • A close leadership bench that expects you to improve how jobs are run, not just repeat last year’s process.
