Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Team Leader to drive complex industrial facility projects from planning through execution. You will manage client relationships, schedules, and budgets while guiding multidisciplinary teams toward successful delivery.

You will mentor junior managers and contribute to proposals and client development, operating within a collaborative, innovation-focused environment that values technical excellence and client success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience managing industrial or manufacturing facilities projects.
  • Proven leadership of project management and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Strong understanding of industrial facilities, manufacturing environments, and building systems.
  • Experience with alternate construction delivery models on greenfield/brownfield projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex industrial facilities projects through planning, design, construction, and closeout.
  • Serve as primary client contact to ensure objectives, scope, schedule, and budget are met.
  • Coordinate architectural, engineering, and specialty consultants.
  • Develop and manage execution plans, schedules, staffing, and budgets.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery.
  • Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing support, and resource use.
  • Maintain strong client relationships for repeat business.
  • Mentor junior project managers and support their development.
  • Support pursuits, client development, and proposal activities with technical delivery expertise.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.

Job description

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Project Manager/Team Leader to join our Industrial Center of Excellence (ICoE) national practice. This role will support a growing portfolio of industrial and advanced manufacturing projects and offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment focused on delivering high-quality solutions to our clients. This position will regularly interact with client leadership teams to provide project management guidance and help support successful planning and execution of capital projects.

Your Impact

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading complex industrial facilities projects from planning through execution, while managing client relationships, project teams, schedules, and budgets.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex industrial facilities projects, including advanced manufacturing, distribution, and process-driven facilities, through planning, design, construction administration and closeout.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring project objectives, scope, schedule, and budget are achieved.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including architectural, engineering, and specialty consultants.
  • Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, staffing plans, and budgets.
  • Identify, monitor, and implement risk mitigation strategies to support successful delivery.
  • Manage project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, invoicing support, and resource utilization.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships that contribute to repeat business opportunities and long‑term client satisfaction.
  • Mentor junior project managers and support their professional development.
  • Support key pursuits and client development activities by contributing technical, project delivery, and client relationship expertise. Participate in proposal development, interviews and client presentations, and pursuit planning efforts.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and support of project staffing and resource planning efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with regional and national Industrial Center of Excellence leadership to share best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience managing industrial or manufacturing facilities‑related projects.
  • Proven experience leading project management and multidisciplinary design teams, including direct and indirect reporting team members and partners.
  • Strong understanding of industrial facilities, manufacturing environments, and building systems.
  • Experienced with alternate construction delivery models on greenfield and brownfield industrial projects, including new construction, facility and system upgrades, and facility retrofits.
  • Excellent client management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Skilled at managing project financials, schedules, and contracts.
  • PMP certification or PE license preferred, but not required.
Preferred Experience
  • Advanced manufacturing or industrial facilities project experience.
  • Experience working with large, complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with design‑build or alternative delivery methods.

Compensation

Expected Salary: $134,700 - $200,100
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
