This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Project Manager, Implementation based in the United States.

This role leads complex client implementations across digital banking solutions, guiding projects from planning through launch and post-launch activities.

You’ll serve as the primary implementation lead, building trusted customer relationships while coordinating diverse internal and external stakeholders.

The position combines strategic project leadership with hands-on execution, including scheduling, risk management, issue resolution, and delivery tracking.

You’ll manage multiple concurrent engagements across different products, customer segments, and levels of complexity.

Success requires strong communication, customer focus, analytical thinking, and the ability to navigate technical and operational dependencies.

You’ll also contribute to process improvements, implementation best practices, and scalable delivery practices across the organization.

This is a remote-first opportunity for an experienced project leader who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering meaningful customer outcomes.

Accountabilities

• Lead complex implementation projects by creating and maintaining comprehensive schedules and coordinating cross-functional activities to deliver within agreed scope, timelines, and budget expectations.
• Serve as the primary implementation lead for assigned customers, proactively managing communications, expectations, milestones, and relationships throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Coordinate Product Development, Customer Success, Technical Consulting, Technical Implementation, Engineering, Customer Support, and vendor teams around shared project goals and deliverables.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and operational challenges, assess their potential impact, and develop effective mitigation and resolution strategies.
• Manage multiple concurrent implementation projects across varying products, customer segments, and complexity levels while maintaining high delivery and customer satisfaction standards.
• Facilitate customer-facing meetings, lead project discussions, document decisions and action items, and ensure accountability for follow-through.
• Manage Jira tickets, project backlogs, and customer-reported issues, prioritizing resolution efforts and coordinating appropriate cross-functional support.
• Monitor development activities connected to implementations, including sprint progress, release schedules, and product dependencies, and communicate relevant updates to customers and stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including implementation plans, status reports, meeting records, risk assessments, milestone tracking, and customer communications.
• Work with customers and vendors to gather configuration requirements, validate implementation details, and track technical dependencies or outstanding gaps.
• Ensure implementation objectives align with customer business goals and operational readiness requirements through a consistently customer-centric delivery approach.
• Maintain transparency by communicating project status, risks, escalations, dependencies, and delivery impacts to leadership and customer stakeholders.
• Identify delivery inefficiencies and recommend process improvements that enhance implementation quality, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
• Develop subject-matter expertise in at least one functional area and contribute to documentation, best practices, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Mentor less experienced project managers and coordinators by sharing implementation practices, supporting issue resolution, and providing guidance on project execution.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience leading implementation projects, customer onboarding initiatives, project delivery programs, or client-facing operational engagements, ideally within SaaS, fintech, banking technology, or related environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Information Systems, Communications, or a related field.
• Advanced experience managing complex implementations and customer-facing delivery activities.
• Strong project scheduling, stakeholder management, cross-functional coordination, and delivery management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects with different levels of complexity and competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience identifying and managing project risks, escalations, dependencies, and implementation challenges.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, Confluence, Slack, or comparable platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and customer relationship management skills.
• Ability to balance customer priorities with operational requirements while maintaining a high-quality implementation experience.
• Experience with fintech, SaaS, or digital banking implementations is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
• Working knowledge of SQL, technical implementation concepts, or integration coordination is a plus.
• Experience contributing to process optimization, operational improvement, or delivery scalability initiatives is advantageous.
• Experience mentoring project coordinators or junior project managers is preferred.
• Exposure to project financial management, forecasting, or resource planning is a plus.
• Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States; employment sponsorship is not available.
