The successful candidate will have extensive experience leading highway reconstruction, roadway safety, Complete Streets, intersection improvement, and pedestrian and bicycle facility projects for public agencies. Working closely with clients and project stakeholders, this individual will provide technical and strategic leadership, oversee all aspects of project delivery, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and agency requirements.
This role offers the opportunity to serve as Project Manager and Project Principal on significant transportation projects while helping shape the growth of FPA’s practice. The Senior Project Manager – Highway & Traffic will develop client relationships, mentor engineering staff, lead proposal efforts, and collaborate with department leadership on strategic planning and operational improvements.
FPA’s Highway & Traffic Department provides planning, design, permitting, and construction support services for transportation projects serving local, county, state, and federal agencies.
The Senior Project Manager – Highway & Traffic will lead multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle while overseeing technical deliverables, project performance, QA/QC, and client coordination. This role requires the technical expertise, leadership, and business development experience needed to deliver profitable projects, develop staff, and pursue new opportunities.

Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $185,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, education, qualifications, and skill set. FPA recognizes and rewards performance through an annual bonus program.
