Build the spaces people remember.
A premier NYC builder (nearly four decades in business, 100+ strong) is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead its most detail-driven, design-forward interior projects. This is a seat for a PM who measures success in the quality of the reveal, not just dollars and days, and who takes real pride in craftsmanship that lasts.
You’ll own projects end to end (preconstruction through closeout) as the steward of design intent, partnering with top architects, designers, and ownership groups on luxury interiors where finish quality is everything.
Why this role
- Design-driven work: custom millwork, decorative metals, specialty stone, feature ceilings, and bespoke finishes, the details clients actually notice
- A genuinely collaborative culture built on teamwork, transparency, and accountability
- A portfolio spanning luxury corporate interiors, executive suites, hospitality, and high-profile restaurant projects
- Clear runway for progression inside an established, growing firm
- A company that acts as a true advocate for its clients, and backs its people to do the same
What you’ll do
- Lead projects from preconstruction through final turnover as the primary owner of schedule, budget, and quality
- Build and drive detailed schedules in MS Project or Primavera P6, focused on long-lead procurement, custom fabrication, mock-ups, and finish sequencing
- Direct buyout, subcontracts, procurement, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Own procurement of long-lead and custom materials (millwork, decorative metals, stone, specialty lighting, architectural finishes, owner-furnished equipment)
- Run rigorous QA/QC and quality walks with architects, designers, and ownership, catching issues before the client ever sees them
- Manage mock-up reviews, finish approvals, and sample installations
- Handle monthly billings, pay apps, and subcontractor invoice approvals
- Partner daily with your Superintendent on field coordination, logistics, and sequencing
- Mentor APMs and Superintendents, and raise the bar for the whole team
What you bring
- 7+ years of PM experience with a GC, CM, architecture, or engineering firm
- A track record delivering luxury commercial interiors, executive offices, hospitality, or similarly finish-intensive fit-outs
- Command of high-end finishes: custom millwork, specialty lighting, decorative metals, stone, and glass systems
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, cost control, procurement, scheduling, and contract management
- Proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera P6, Procore, and MS Office
- Bachelor's in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Design, Business, or related (equivalent experience considered)
- Sharp attention to detail and confident, client-facing communication
