Job summary

IOC Company, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager for its Texas operations in Edinburg, with travel to projects statewide. The role oversees project management staff and manages large-scale heavy civil construction projects and structures, with opportunity to advance to Operational Manager.

The ideal candidate has TxDOT project experience, proficiency with HCSS HeavyJob, Primavera P6, Plan Grid, and strong communication, organizational, and cost-control skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, required.
• 5 years of project management experience with TxDOT related type projects in heavy civil construction or 8 years combined field and project management experience in heavy civil construction, required.
• Experience with TxDOT Type Projects
• Proficiency with HCSS HeavyJob software, Primavera P6, Plan Grid
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organization, time management, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Very high attention to detail and have the ability to analyze data

Responsibilities

• On-Site Project Management
• Ensure and communicate clear roles and responsibilities to entire project team
• Project Coordination & Project Controls
• Conduct weekly meetings with project team (to include scheduling and costing review)
• Construction Billings, Cost tracking for sequential costing to include Job Cost Analysis
• Developing, managing & enforcing construction schedule
• Develop and effectively manage against project budget and ensure project meets projected/required margins
• Maintaining records and logs
• Communicating with vendors, subcontractors, and owners
• Completing RFQ and bid packages
• Developing and following a two week look ahead schedule
• Participating in subcontractor and owner meetings
• Preparation and delivery of close out and owner's manuals
