Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Senior Project Manager-Design and Construction for an onsite role in Indianapolis. You will lead complex healthcare construction projects, guiding strategy, budgets, and schedules while coordinating designers, contractors and vendors across multiple sites.

You will mentor staff, oversee cost control and procurement, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all phases of delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, an engineering discipline, architecture or related field is required.
• 7–10 years of relevant project management experience.
• Certificate in Healthcare is preferred.
• Knowledge of business, management, finance, and project cost control techniques.
• Familiarity with NFPA Life Safety Code, IDOH Regulations, FGI Guidelines, IBC and ADA.
• Ability to use software tools including eBuilder, Oracle, Power BI, Smartsheet and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex construction projects with autonomy and leadership across all delivery phases (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Closeout).
• Develop estimates and comprehensive budgets; create and manage project schedules.
• Direct procurement strategies and coordinate designers, contractors, and vendors; mitigate conflicts.
• Provide regular reporting to Design and Construction leadership and manage cost forecasting.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain turnover deliverables such as record drawings and warranties.
• Mentor team members and support training and development.
