Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Design and Construction in Indianapolis. This role leads complex healthcare construction projects with high autonomy, coordinating designers, contractors, and vendors to meet strict safety and quality standards.

You will develop budgets, schedules, and procurement strategies, provide regular reporting to leadership, and mentor team members while ensuring adherence to NFPA and IDOH regulations alike.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related field is required.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• Certificate in Healthcare is preferred.
• Knowledge of business, management, finance, and project cost control techniques.
• Awareness of NFPA Life Safety Code, IDOH regulations including FGI Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities, IBC, and ADA.
• Proficiency with eBuilder, Oracle, Power BI, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex construction projects with high autonomy and strategic insight.
• Develop estimates and comprehensive budgets; create and manage project schedules.
• Direct procurement strategies and coordinate designers, contractors, and vendors.
• Provide regular cost forecasting and reporting to D&C leadership; ensure safety compliance and quality delivery.
• Oversee turnover deliverables (record drawings, warranties) and support training and development.
