Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution in Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC. You will develop plans, track milestones, manage budgets, and report to senior leaders, ensuring on-scope, on-time delivery and adoption across the portfolio.

The role requires 7+ years of PM/Portfolio experience, insurance industry exposure, and strong skills in Smartsheet and Excel with hybrid/Agile delivery experience.

Qualifications

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support an various different initiatives in either Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC. This individual will be responsible for leading complex, cross-functional projects from planning through execution and adoption, ensuring initiatives are delivered within scope, timeline, and budget. The Senior Project Manager will develop and maintain detailed project plans, track milestones and dependencies, manage risks and issues, oversee budgets and resources, and provide clear status reporting to senior and executive-level stakeholders. This person will work closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, establish priorities, facilitate planning and decision-making sessions, remove roadblocks, and drive process improvements across the organization. They will also support portfolio governance, roadmap planning, scorecards and metrics, change management, user adoption, and operational readiness. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial services industry experience, excellent communication and executive presence, and hands-on experience utilizing Smartsheet, Excel, and Microsoft productivity tools to manage projects, reporting, data, and project documentation. The ideal candidate would have experience working across Agile, Waterflow, or hybrid delivery environments and the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed organization will be important for success.

Skills and Requirements

• 7+ years of Project Management, Program Management, or Portfolio Management experience
• Life insurance, annuity, or reinsurance industry experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft productivity/project management tools
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects from planning through implementation
• Strong project planning, budgeting, risk/issue management, dependency tracking, and executive reporting experience
• Experience working directly with senior leaders and executive-level stakeholders
• Strong communication, facilitation, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working within Agile, Waterflow, and/or hybrid project delivery environments
