Job summary

Gibraltar Fabrication in the United States is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead federal heavy civil construction programs. You will develop and manage schedules and budgets, coordinate with owners, engineers and field teams, oversee procurement and change orders, and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a strong background in design-build delivery and proven leadership across multiple large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years as a Project Manager in heavy civil or related construction.
• Experience on at least two design-build projects similar in size, scope, and complexity to large-scale federal or public infrastructure projects.
• Experience on at least two construction projects, each valued at $10M+.
• Experience with federal, state, or municipal clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project schedules and timelines to ensure on-time project delivery.
• Monitor project budgets, track costs, and manage financial performance.
• Identify potential cost overruns or savings and implement corrective actions.
• Lead project buyout and procurement activities, including subcontractor and supplier selection and contract negotiation.
• Manage subcontractor performance and ensure work meets contract requirements.
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, inspectors, and field teams to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Ensure all work meets safety standards, quality requirements, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project records.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness.
