Job summary

AE Works in the United States seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead federal and institutional building projects from planning through closeout. You will be the client’s main contact, responsible for scope, schedule, budget and quality, working with architects, engineers, cost estimators and construction managers.

You’ll drive projects in healthcare, higher education, federal, or mission-critical sectors, managing milestones while overseeing multiple projects across phases and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or construction management required.
• 8–10+ years of professional experience in architectural or building project management.
• Experience delivering institutional, healthcare or complex building projects with federal work is a plus.
• Strong command of the design and construction process including permitting and agency coordination.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules and consultant teams across concurrent projects.
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, construction administration and closeout.
• Be the primary contact for clients, consultants, contractors and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Coordinate consultants across architectural, engineering and specialty disciplines.
• Manage scope, schedules, staffing plans and fee budgets to federal contracting requirements.
• Track financial performance including labor utilization, invoicing and change management.
• Oversee preparation, review and quality control of construction documents to federal standards.
