Position Overview
Reporting to the Manager of Professional Services, the Senior Project Manager will join as a key member of our Provider Solutions team and help build and shape the team for future success. Through project management and execution, this role will help our customers achieve their business goals with excellence.
Customer implementation projects have an impact across numerous DrFirst departments along with senior executive visibility. They contain a high level of complexity, as well as high riskif not delivered on time and with expected quality levels. This role will be responsible for communicating clearly and accurately across DrFirst departments and with customers. The Senior Project Manager will be expected to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects in parallel; keep all stakeholders informed; recognize, communicate, and mitigate risks; present results; and ensure each project is completed with quality and on time.
The Senior Project Manager is expected to help develop and/or improve on efficient and scalable processes to enable team members to do their best work and accomplish business objectives. This position analyzes, and presents creative options to solve business challenges, thrives wearing multiple hats, and has an eye for detail.

What you will work on
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Lead the development of comprehensive implementation strategies and enterprise-level work plans for complex hospital system integrations. Drive successful project execution ensuring predictable, consistent, and high-quality delivery that exceeds expectations outlined in the scope of work (SOW).
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Direct cross-departmental teams, building consensus among stakeholders, optimizing resource allocation, and removing organizational barriers to facilitate seamless implementation across large healthcare enterprises.
- Program Management: Establish project governance frameworks, realistic timelines, and critical milestones aligned with strategic business objectives. Proactively identify risks and communicate sensitive implementation challenges to leadership.
- Strategic Relationship Management: Build and nurture executive-level relationships within DrFirst and client hospital systems. Leverage exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to drive collaboration at all organizational levels.
- Complex Problem Resolution: Lead resolution of unique and complex healthcare integration challenges working alongside Integration Services partners requiring sophisticated critical thinking, comprehensive root cause analysis, and strategic issue management to deliver optimal enterprise solutions.
- Business Impact & Value Realization: Translate implementation strategies into measurable business outcomes, ensuring implementations deliver maximum ROI and value for hospital system clients while advancing DrFirst's strategic objectives.
- Transformational Leadership: Champion organizational innovation and drive transformational change within client hospital systems, serving as a trusted advisor throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent field of study (MBA or MHA preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience managing complex enterprise implementation projects, with specific expertise in hospital or healthcare system integrations
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams through full lifecycle implementations for large-scale healthcare organizations, including academic medical centers or multi-facility health systems
- Strong command of healthcare IT ecosystems, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements affecting technology adoption in hospital environments
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with proven ability to build relationships and influence at the executive level across client organizations
- Advanced expertise in healthcare project management methodologies (PMP, LEAN, Six Sigma) with ability to adapt frameworks to meet the unique needs of complex healthcare implementations
- Superior analytical capabilities with experience translating complex healthcare data into actionable implementation strategies and executive-level reporting
- Demonstrated change management expertise with ability to drive organizational transformation through technology adoption
- Outstanding communication skills with experience presenting to leadership teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment while maintaining strategic focus on long-term implementation success
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in healthcare or health IT
- Experience working with Epic and Cerner clients
- Proficiency with enterprise project management tools, data visualization platforms, and MS Office suite (PlanHat, Tableau, Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, NetSuite, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Physical Requirements
- 90% working at desk/ phone
- 10% travel to customer sites and/ or DrFirst sponsored events

- Competitive compensation, with a base salary of $110,000 - $140,000 (Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience)
