Senior Project Manager – Electrical Construction – Commercial & Industrial – Ohio

Gryphon Oakwood is working with a well‑established electrical contractor seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of major electrical construction projects across Ohio.

This opportunity is suited to an accomplished electrical construction professional with extensive experience in project management, financial oversight, team leadership, and project delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex electrical projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring strong financial performance, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple electrical construction projects, maintaining accountability for budgets, schedules, safety, quality, and overall project performance
• Oversee project financials, including cost forecasting, revenue projections, profitability, billing, and margin management
• Lead and support Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field leadership, ensuring effective coordination and project execution
• Direct project planning, scheduling, procurement, and manpower coordination to ensure successful delivery against key milestones
• Manage change orders, scope reviews, contract administration, subcontractor pricing, and commercial negotiations
• Collaborate with estimating, preconstruction, VDC, and prefabrication teams to improve project efficiency and constructability
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and key project stakeholders
• Monitor project risks, implement effective controls, and ensure compliance with company procedures and reporting requirements

Requirements:

• 5+ years of electrical construction field experience
• 5+ years of project management experience within the electrical construction industry
• Demonstrated success managing large-scale commercial and industrial electrical construction projects
• Strong understanding of project financials, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability
• Experience managing electrical estimating, scheduling, procurement, and change management
• Proven ability to lead and develop project management and field teams
• Strong communication, commercial awareness, and client relationship management skills
• Willingness to travel across Ohio as required

Preferred Experience:

• 10+ years of electrical construction project management experience
• Exposure to Mission Critical, Data Center, or complex electrical infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with VDC, prefabrication, preconstruction, and construction technology
• Proficiency with scheduling software, including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Experience using electrical estimating and project management software
• Background working within an established electrical contractor delivering multiple concurrent projects
