Job summary

CDM Smith in Bangor, Maine seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large, design-build projects with focus on schedule, budget and profitability. You will coordinate internal and client teams, manage risks, and ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.

The role requires 13+ years of relevant experience and PMI PMP/CCM or DBIA certification within 12 months. Substations EPC experience is preferred and the position is based on-site in Bangor, ME.

Qualifications

• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience.
• PMP ( PMI ), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list).

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures (budgets) and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Prepares client billings and ensures timely payment; approves subcontractor invoices.
• Monitors project risks and escalates as needed.
• Writes and communicates project deadlines and objectives to the team.
• Creates overall project schedule and in-house budgets by group.
• Facilitates meetings with stakeholders.
• Provides guidance to engineering disciplines for reviews and problem resolution.
• Coordinates submittals with agencies and monitors deliverables.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
