Job summary

KData Inc. is seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead Informatica CDGC initiatives for a major client account. This remote role focuses on guiding data governance, cataloging, and data quality efforts across diverse teams and geographies.

You will own end-to-end delivery, align milestones with business goals, manage budgets and risks, and report to client executives and KData leadership using Jira/Confluence or Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical project management experience including 3+ years with Informatica CDGC/IDMC.
• Strong data governance, cataloging, metadata management, lineage, and data quality knowledge.
• Proven delivery in enterprise data projects within scope, on time, and within budget.
• PMP/CSM/SAFe certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Jira/Confluence and modern cloud data environments.

Job description

This is a remote position. About the Role KData is seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager with deep expertise in Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) to lead strategic data initiatives for a major client account. In this contract role, you will drive end-to-end delivery of data governance capabilities to support the client's growth and expansion. You will serve as the core link between KData delivery teams, client executives, and technical stakeholders to ensure enterprise data assets are well-governed, cataloged, and leveraged for business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Delivery Management
  • Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and milestone delivery of CDGC-driven data governance projects for the client.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to align project timelines, technical deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies with business goals.
  • Track project scope, sprint targets, deliverables, budgets, and resource allocation across cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client leadership, ensuring high quality of deliverables and transparent reporting.
• Informatica CDGC Implementation & Governance
  • Oversee the implementation, adoption, and rollout of Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC).
  • Work alongside data stewards, architects, and engineers to establish data lineage, metadata ingestion, business glossaries, and data quality metrics.
  • Track metrics and KPIs to measure data governance adoption and maturity across the client organization.
  • Ensure data privacy, compliance, and governance frameworks are embedded throughout project execution.
• Agile Delivery & Governance
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Standups, Retrospectives, Demos) using Jira/Confluence or Azure DevOps.
  • Identify and eliminate blockers, manage cross-team dependencies, and ensure continuous technical progress.
  • Provide status reports, executive dashboards, and steering committee presentations to KData and client leadership.

Requirements

• Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience: 8+ years of technical project management experience, with at least 3+ years directly managing Informatica CDGC (Cloud Data Governance and Catalog) or related Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) projects.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of Data Governance frameworks, Data Cataloging, Metadata Management, Data Lineage, Data Quality, and Master Data Management (MDM).
  • Client & Delivery Management: Proven track record in consulting/vendor contract roles delivering enterprise data projects on schedule and within scope.
  • Agile Expertise: Hands‑–??; PMP, CSM, or SAFe certification preferred.
  • Tools: Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and modern cloud data environments (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Communication: Clear, concise communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience in contract roles supporting utility, energy, or public‑sector clients.
  • Background as a Data Analyst, Data Steward, or Data Engineer prior to project management.
  • Informatica CDGC or IDMC certifications.
