Job summary

Renaissance Partners seeks a Data Governance Analyst to drive data quality, policies, and risk management across the organization. You will profile data sources, develop standards, and collaborate with Data, Analytics and IT teams to implement governance solutions.

The role requires strong experience in data integration/management, Informatica tooling and regulatory privacy practices. This is a contract position offering exposure to enterprise data landscapes and governance programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive responsibilities in Data Integration/Data Management.
• Skills in Java, NoSQL, Hadoop, IBM Data Stage/Quality Stage.
• Data Management tools, SQL and Data discovery techniques.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Data usage/management/protection including data quality and risk management.
• Profile data sources to assess quality and develop cleansing strategies.
• Populate metadata and glossary terms to support Informatica Data Catalog.
• Resolve data issues and collaborate cross-functionally to implement solutions.
• Guide Data, Analytics and IT teams on data standards and Informatica tooling.
• Identify data relationships to provide insights and establish repeatable processes.
• Understand regulatory guidelines regarding data privacy, usage, and retention (PII, GDPR, SPII).
• Deliver training and communications for new Informatica capabilities and data governance processes.
• Automate solutions to protect inter-related systems data.
• Utilize Informatica Data Quality/Profiling/Data Management tools, SQL and discovery techniques.

Job Description

As a Data Governance Analyst with a leading design and manufacturing company you will work across all areas of the company to ensure data quality, data management, data policies and risk management. In addition you will ensure data is profiled to identify data attributes for security, understand content and opportunities to improve it with standards. You will also work with various stakeholders to make recommendations to improve data quality, data standardization and data transformation.

Responsibilities:

• Data usage/data management/data protection including.
• Perform data profiling of sources to assess data quality and work on mitigation strategies and cleansing solutions.
• Populate Metadata content and associate terms in the Business Glossary to develop the Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog.
• Resolve data issues in the appropriate forums and work cross functionally to develop solutions.
• Collaborate with Data, Analytics and IT teams and guide them on data standards and the use of Informatica tools.
• Identify relationships in data to assist in providing insights.
• Establish repeatable, sustainable processes to maintain data and metadata.
• Understand company and regulatory guidelines regarding data privacy, usage and retention (PII, GDPR, SPII).
• Deliver training and communications for new Informatica capability and Data Governance processes.
