Job summary

KData Inc. seeks an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead Informatica CDGC projects for a major client account in the United States. You will bridge delivery teams, client executives, and technical stakeholders to ensure assets are well-governed and leveraged for business value.

You will drive end-to-end governance delivery, manage sprints and milestones, and oversee data lineage, metadata ingestion, and data quality metrics while maintaining privacy and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical project management experience, 3+ years directly managing Informatica CDGC or IDMC projects.
• Strong knowledge of Data Governance frameworks, Cataloging, Metadata, Lineage, Data Quality, and MDM.
• Proven delivery track record in enterprise data projects on time and within scope.
• Hands-on Agile leadership; PMP/CSM/SAFe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Senior Project Manager – Data Governance & Management (CDGC)

KData is seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager with deep expertise in Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) to lead strategic data initiatives for a major client account.

In this contract role, you will drive end-to-end delivery of data governance capabilities to support the client's growth and expansion. You will serve as the core link between KData delivery teams, client executives, and technical stakeholders to ensure enterprise data assets are well-governed, cataloged, and leveraged for business value.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery Management

Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and milestone delivery of CDGC-driven data governance projects for the client.

Collaborate with client stakeholders to align project timelines, technical deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies with business goals.

Track project scope, sprint targets, deliverables, budgets, and resource allocation across cross-functional teams.

Serve as the primary point of contact for client leadership, ensuring high quality of deliverables and transparent reporting.

Oversee the implementation, adoption, and rollout of Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC).

Work alongside data stewards, architects, and engineers to establish data lineage, metadata ingestion, business glossaries, and data quality metrics.

Track metrics and KPIs to measure data governance adoption and maturity across the client organization.

Ensure data privacy, compliance, and governance frameworks are embedded throughout project execution.

Agile Delivery & Governance

Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Standups, Retrospectives, Demos) using Jira/Confluence or Azure DevOps.

Identify and eliminate blockers, manage cross-team dependencies, and ensure continuous technical progress.

Provide status reports, executive dashboards, and steering committee presentations to KData and client leadership.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

Experience: 8+ years of technical project management experience, with at least 3+ years directly managing Informatica CDGC (Cloud Data Governance and Catalog) or related Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) projects.

Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of Data Governance frameworks, Data Cataloging, Metadata Management, Data Lineage, Data Quality, and Master Data Management (MDM).

Client & Delivery Management: Proven track record in consulting/vendor contract roles delivering enterprise data projects on schedule and within scope.

Agile Expertise: Hands-on experience leading teams in Agile, Scrum, or Hybrid environments; PMP, CSM, or SAFe certification preferred.

Tools: Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and modern cloud data environments (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).

Communication: Clear, concise communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience in contract roles supporting utility, energy, or public-sector clients.

Background as a Data Analyst, Data Steward, or Data Engineer prior to project management.

Informatica CDGC or IDMC certifications.
