Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Manager to provide consulting services for a financial services client and lead MEP infrastructure construction for regional data centers, including UPS power, HVAC, chillers, and fire suppression systems.

The role is onsite at the client's data center in Columbus, OH and oversees projects from initiation through completion, coordinating with client teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality while upholding CBRE values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; 8–10 years of relevant experience, combination of experience and education allowed.
• MEP construction experience in mission critical facilities required; Data Center facilities experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project or equivalent project management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead client MOP process for scheduling data center construction activity.
• Manage design, construction, occupancy, and closeout across multiple real estate projects.
• Coordinate with clients to prepare scope, resources, budgets, schedules, quality control, and risk.
• Define project delivery resources and conduct complex RFPs; evaluate bids and recommend resources.
• Facilitate development of a charter and integrated timeline.
• Ensure schedule adherence and escalate issues as needed.
• Lead regular status meetings for active and pending projects.
• Collaborate to develop solutions and guide project teams to completion.
• Apply advanced knowledge to improve methods and drive department objectives.
• Demonstrate CBRE RISE values and lead by example.

About the Role

The Senior Project Manager provides consulting services for our financial services client account to help achieve the company's strategic business objectives. The Sr. Project Manager will lead MEP infrastructure construction projects for the client’s regional data centers including UPS power, HVAC, chillers, and fire suppression systems.

This job is part of the Project Management function responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion. Roleis onsite at our client data center in Columbus, OH.

What You’ll Do

Manage all areas of project management for multiple real estate projects. This includes planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.

Interface directly with client to lead client MOP (Method of Procedure) process for scheduling all data center construction related activity.
May ensure standard methodologies are followed for design and delivery of critical facility system components and equipment.

Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project. This includes the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.

Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct complex requests for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.

Facilitate the development of a charter and integrated timeline.

Ensure all functions remain on schedule and issues get resolved or escalated.

Facilitate regular meetings to review project status for active and pending projects.

Collaborate to develop solutions and guide the project team through implementation and completion.

Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.

Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function.

Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.

What You’ll Need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• MEP construction experience in mission critical facilities required. Data Center facilities experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). MS Project or equivalent project management software experience.
