Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Manager to provide consulting to a financial services client, leading office infrastructure construction onsite and regionally with emphasis on MEP upgrades and BMS automation controls.

This Owner’s Representative role manages projects from initiation to completion with a hybrid schedule and ~20% regional travel, mentoring other PMs and collaborating with senior leaders to deliver strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred with 8–10 years of relevant experience
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered
  • PE, LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred
  • Owner’s Representative experience for Class A financial or professional services client and infrastructure/MEP experience required
  • Strong knowledge of BMS controls, building automation, and smart buildings desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PM Web or similar PM software
  • Ability to lead delivery resources and work with senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Manage all areas of project management for multiple real estate projects, including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout
  • Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project including scope of work, resources, budgets, schedule, quality, and risk
  • Provide project reporting to the Project Management Director and other leaders
  • Coach and develop other Project Managers across the function
  • Define delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through RFQ/bid processes and evaluate bids
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and issues are resolved or escalated
  • Lead regular project status meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams
  • Develop practical solutions and guide teams through implementation and completion
  • Contribute to new processes and standards to meet functional goals

About the role

The Senior Project Manager provides consulting services to our financial services client account to help achieve the company's strategic business objectives. The Sr. Project Manager will lead office infrastructure construction projects onsite and regionally. Projects consist of MEP upgrades and installations in client smart building occupied offices with an emphasis on BMS (Building Management Systems) automation controls.

This job is part of the Project Management function serving as Owner’s Representative responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion. Role offers a hybrid schedule onsite with approximately 20% out of town travel regionally.

What you’ll do

Manage all areas of project management for multiple real estate projects. This includes planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.

Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project. This includes the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & landmarks, quality control, and risk identification.

Project reporting to Project Management Director and other business leaders

Management and coaching other Project Managers to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.

Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct complex requests for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.

Ensure all functions remain on schedule and issues get resolved or advanced.

Facilitate regular meetings to review project status for active and pending projects.

Collaborate to develop solutions and guide the project team through implementation and completion.

Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.

Showcase expertise in own job field and in-depth knowledge of other job subject areas within the organization function.

Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies.

Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals.

What you’ll need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. PE, LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred

  • Solid track record of working with senior leadership in a strategic capacity and the ability to lead delivery resources projects is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment while leading multiple projects and/or programs in varying stages.
