Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Project Manager 2/Superintendent 3 in Los Alamos, NM. The role leads construction projects typically up to $500k, provides oversight to Superintendent levels, and interfaces with federal sponsors to report progress.

Candidates should have a recognized degree in engineering or science and extensive experience in project controls, EVMS, and risk management, with the ability to obtain a DOE security clearance and nuclear project experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or a scientific discipline is typically required.
• Ten years of work experience with at least five in engineering, procurement, or construction.
• DOE Q clearance is required.
• Nuclear experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects of $500k or less and provide oversight to Superintendent 2 as needed.
• Initiate investigation of abnormal events, incidents, and accidents to identify root causes.
• Serve as CAM for planning, budgeting, and cost/schedule control; liaise with project controls.
• Ensure work packages reflect realistic durations and budgets; perform variance analysis.
• Present project management plans, status, and trends to federal sponsors.
• Demonstrate leadership in coordinating resources, schedules, and project progress.
