Intertek-PSI is seeking a Project Manager - Construction Materials Testing in Austin, TX to lead large CMT projects and coordinate field teams. You will ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing large Construction Materials Testing projects.
• Strong field experience with concrete, rebar, soils, and drilled piers.
• Proven experience managing and scheduling 10+ field technicians.
• Knowledge of CMT procedures, construction practices, project specs, and field operations.
• Experience with scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, and financial management.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with clients, technicians, PMs, and senior management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or related field; equivalent experience.
• CMT-related certifications (ACI, NICET, ICC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage large and complex CMT projects from start-up to completion.
• Coordinate day-to-day scheduling and utilization of 10+ field technicians.
• Provide leadership and support to project personnel.
• Serve as primary client contact and maintain relationships.
• Develop schedules, staffing plans, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, testing and project priorities.
• Monitor progress, productivity, quality, and contract compliance.
• Collaborate with branch and operations management on staffing and equipment.
• Monitor budgets, labor costs, revenue, invoicing, and profitability.
• Identify issues and implement solutions to minimize delays and costs.
• Review testing reports and deliverables for accuracy.
• Ensure testing/inspections meet applicable standards and safety requirements.
• Assist with proposals, change orders, and business development activities.
• Promote safety, quality, accountability, and customer service.
