Senior Project Manager – Construction Management (Anticipated Opening)

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team, supporting large-scale TI and ground-up construction projects for key clients in the San Francisco South Bay area.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter, capable of taking initiative and driving activities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chain to deliver compliant projects.
2. Analyze, track, and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slip.
3. Verify that effective project governance, processes, and systems are utilized.
4. Ensure application of best practices on all projects.
5. Produce formal project status reports and other reports as required.
6. Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are being applied correctly.
7. Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews.
8. Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications.
9. Forecast and update key project milestones.
10. Manage and monitor local design teams in accordance with the commission criteria.
11. Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors, and regional stakeholders.
12. Respond rapidly to RFIs from the field.
13. Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where required.
14. Review status reports, drawing submittals, timelines, and costs from architects, contractors, and suppliers independently.
15. Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with clients to maximize new opportunities.
16. Advise project teams on strategic approaches to achieve clients’ and business objectives.
17. Ensure key information and learnings from each project are captured.
18. Identify and implement process improvements within internal systems and processes.
19. Identify business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including potential cross-selling.
20. Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, and PMP certification.
• Membership in relevant professional organizations.
• At least 5-7 years of construction project management experience.
• Experience managing Tenant Improvement (TI) construction projects within Commercial Real Estate and Healthcare sectors preferred.
• Willingness to work in our San Francisco office and onsite as needed.
• Experience managing demanding stakeholders and work stream managers.
• Strong organizational and management skills, with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction project management tools.
• Experience working in the US, particularly in the California Bay Area.

The salary range for this full-time role is $130K-$160K per year, depending on experience. This range reflects base salary only and may vary based on candidate qualifications. Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less.
