Job summary

OSF HealthCare, through Pointcore Construction, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead hospital construction initiatives, ensuring safety, schedule and budget adherence. This role requires overseeing GMP approvals, owner meetings, procurement, change orders and closeout, with strong collaboration across owners, designers, engineers and field teams.

Travel around ministry is required. The Senior Project Manager will manage teams on complex healthcare projects, mentor junior staff, and drive cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• 7 years of experience in construction project management.
• Proof of Healthcare Infection Control & Interim Life Safety Training upon hire.
• Active state driver's license.
• Must earn OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Expected pay for this position is $52.21 - $61.43/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Project Manager Pointcore Construction is responsible for the overall safety, direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from guaranteed maximum price (GMP) approval through project closeout. The Senior Project Manager is expected to lead construction projects and maintain positive and effective working relationships with both internal and external members of the project team including owners, designers, engineers, field operations, trade partners, program managers, and preconstruction managers. The individual will run or oversee owner meetings, trade partner meetings, trade partner buyout, material procurement, job site safety, job site quality, project schedule, writing subcontracts, owner change orders, subcontractor change orders, cost forecasting, and construction document management. The Senior Project Manager may be charged with running a team on a larger project or mentoring younger project managers on smaller projects while running a project themselves.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• 7 years of experience in construction project management.
• Proof of Healthcare Infection Control & Interim Life Safety Training upon hire.
• Active state driver's license.
• Must earn Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour Construction Safety training within 6 months of hire.

Other Skills/Knowledge:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Proficient with reading and interpreting contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to be flexible and find creative ways to improve the organization’s effectiveness and solve construction and owner's problems.
• Experience in healthcare construction market.
• Experience with cost management software (VISTA, CMiC, etc.).
• Experience with scheduling software (Microsoft Project, P3/6, Asta, etc.).
• Experience with construction document management software (Procore, CMiC, Plan Grid, etc.).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10 years of experience in construction project management.
• Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC)

Other Skills/Knowledge:

• Proficient with cost management software (VISTA, CMiC, etc.).
• Proficient with scheduling software (Microsoft Project, P3/6, Asta, etc.).
• Last Planner System (LPS) Training Proficient with construction document management software (Procore, CMiC, Plan Grid, etc.).
